Itineraries

Day 1

Amman Airport - Amman Overnight

Meet and assist upon arrival at Amman airport, and drive to Amman and check in to the hotel for overnight.

Day 2

Amman Hotel - Ajloun Visit - Ajloun Forest Reserve Visit - Amman Overnight

Breakfast at the hotel and drive to visit Ajloun Castle then continue to visit Ajloun Forest Reserve which is located in the Ajloun highlands north of Amman and covers 13 square kilometers. It is dominated by open woodlands of Evergreen Oak, Pine, Carob, Wild Pistachio and Wild Strawberry trees. These trees have been important to local people for their wood, scenic beauty, and quite often for medicine and food. Then return to the hotel in Amman for overnight.

Day 3

Amman Hotel - Wadi Mujib Visit (Siq Trail) - Dead Sea Overnight

After breakfast in hotel, drive to visit Wadi Mujib, passing through white rock hills, this trail leads from the Visitor Center to the Mujib River. The trail follows the river downstream from the head of the Mujib Gorge. Shortly after entering the gorge, you will reach the top of a spectacular waterfall 20m high, which will be negotiated under the watchful eye of trained guides. After descending the waterfall, the hike continues along the gorge (with views of spectacular rock formations) and returns you to the Visitor Center. Then back to the hotel at Dead Sea for overnight.

Free day at leisure and overnight at Dead Sea.

Day 5

Dead Sea Hotel - Dana Nature Reserve Visit - Dana Overnight

Breakfast at the hotel then drive Dana which is Jordan’s largest nature reserve, covering some 320 square kilometers of spectacular mountains and wadis along the face of the Great Rift Valley. From scorching sand dunes in the west to cool mountain tops in the east, the Dana Biosphere Reserve is home to a great variety of wildlife. There are plants and animals characteristic of true desert, of Mediterranean forests and of the dry plains of Russia. Overnight in Dana.

Day 6

Dana Hotel - Petra Visit - Petra Overnight

After breakfast transfer visit the World Wonder, Petra. This is Jordan’s Crown Jewel of Archaeological heritage. The city was built by the Nabateans as their capital over 2000 years ago along the routes controlling the trade between the Arab Peninsula, Africa, Asia, and the Mediterranean basin, making it a great success and allowed the city to prosper. Overnight in Petra.

Day 7

Petra Hotel - Wadi Rum Visit - Wadi Rum Overnight

After a breakfast, drive to Wadi Rum enjoy a 2 hours Bedouin Jeep Tour over the dunes of Wadi Rum followed by a Bedouin Style lunch at a local campsite. check in at the private camp for dinner under the stars and overnight in private tents in Wadi Rum.

Day 8

Wadi Rum Camp - Amman City Tour - Amman Overnight

After breakfast drive to Amman for a city tour of the capital with visits to the Amman Citadel and Roman Amphitheater. Then return to the hotel in Amman for overnight.

Day 9

Amman Hotel - Amman Airport Departure

Breakfast at the hotel and leisure time until departure to the airport for flight back home.

Visits Details:

1- Ajloun / One of Jordan’s most scenic areas north of Amman. An evergreen landscape of hills and forests filled with local oak, pine and carob trees. On one of Ajloun highest hills lies the Rabbad Castle – an Islamic military fortress built by Saladin’s army to defend against the invading Crusaders. A great examples of Medieval Islamic architecture, with large gates, vaulted ceilings, towers, and wall slits acting as fortified windows for archers.

• Al Rabad castle.
• Museum.

2- Ajloun Forest Reserve / Located in the Ajloun highlands north of Amman and covers 13 square kilometers. It is dominated by open woodlands of Evergreen Oak, Pine, Carob, Wild Pistachio and Wild Strawberry trees. These trees have been important to local people for their wood, scenic beauty, and quite often for medicine and food.

3- Wadi Mujib (Siq Trail) / The trail starts at Mujib Adventure Center where you will take the cantilevered walkway and follow the course of the river between the towering sandstone cliffs to the base of a large waterfall. Depending on seasonal rainfall levels, the gorge may contain pools deep enough for swimming. This is an idea walk to take slowly and enjoy the cool water and shade, especially in the heat of summer. Only available from April to October.

4- Dead Sea / A salt lake whose banks are more than 400m below sea level, the lowest point on dry land. It's famously hypersaline water makes floating easy, and its mineral-rich black mud is used for therapeutic and cosmetic treatments at area resorts. The surrounding desert offers many oases and historic sites.

• Free time at Dead Sea.

5- Dana Nature Reserve / A nature reserve covering 320 square km of spectacular mountains and valleys in the Tafileh governorate in the south of Jordan. The Dana Biosphere Reserve is home to many unique plants & animals. The Nature Reserve is run by the Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature who organizes trekking and camping trips for nature lovers inside the reserve and Dana village.

6- Petra / The capital city of the Nabatean Arabs is one of the most famous archeological sites in the world and Jordan’s national treasure. Petra –which means Rose Red city, gets its name from the color of the rocky mountains the city is carved into. The city prospered in the 1st century AD through the trade of frankincense, myrrh, and spices. The Romans annexed the thriving city, but abandoned it in mid of the 4th century after a strong earthquake hit the city. The city was rediscovered by a Swiss explorer Johannes Burckhardt in 1812. Today Petra is a UNESCO World Heritage site and is visited by thousands of people every day.

Visit Highlight:
• The Siq.
• Al Khazneh (The Treasury) a temple with an ornate 45m-high Greek-style façade.
• Royal tombs.

7- Wadi Rum / A colorful desert with sandstone mountains and sheer cliffs that resemble a landscape from Mars. It’s a unique landscape that has been the backdrop of several Hollywood films over the years. Tourists flock to this desert to enjoy watching sunsets, desert safaris, trekking, camping and other adventurous activities.

8- Amman / A modern capital with a population of around 4 million people. Its been inhabited since the Neolithic period and was also known as Rabath Ammon in the Iron age and Philadelphia during the Greek & Roman times. The Citadel- located on one of Amman’s hills - is home to the Roman Hercules Temple and Islamic Ummayad Palace. The Citadel overlooks the Roman Amphitheater in downtown Amman, which is cut into the side of a hill and seats more than 6000 spectators.

Visit Highlight:
• The Citadel (Temple of Hercules, Umayyad palace & Byzantine church).
• Roman amphitheatre.
• Downtown gold souk and old city market.
